Sam Weer recorded the Scarlet Raiders’ lone hit in the 8-0 loss to the Lions in the nightcap, breaking up sophomore
Jamie Moir’s no-hit bid with a two-out single in the bottom of the fifth.
Moir, who finished two-for-three with two RBIs and a run scored, moves to 2-0 on the season after tossing five innings, allowing just one hit while striking out six.

Colleen Cawley combined for three hits, four RBIs and two runs scored, while Hagel finished one-for-one with an RBI and two runs scored.
The Scarlet Raiders will square off with Montclair State in an NJAC doubleheader on Tuesday, April 7 before returning home for a non-conference twinbill with the College of St. Elizabeth on Thursday, April 9.
