POUGHKEEPSIE, NY -- Sophomore outside hitter Toni Moppert had six kills, 10 digs, a service ace and an assisted block to lead Rutgers-Newark, but Vassar posted a 3-0 non-conference win in Kenyon Hall.

Junior setter Gabi Mangieri added 10 assists for the Scarlet Raiders (0-2) who will next play in the NYU Labor Day Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.

Freshman outside hitter Rachel Witt was the only other Raider with more than one kill, posting two kills and a solo block for three points while junior middle blocker Na-Keta Michael chipped in a kill, an ace and an assisted block.
