SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – Senior soccer defender
Sasha Potter was among those honored Sunday at the National Girls and Women in Sports Day ceremonies at the halftime of the St. John's versus Seton Hall women's basketball game in Walsh Gymnasium.
Potter, Rutgers-Newark's Female Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2008-09, received recognition as Rutgers-Newark's Woman of the Year from the New Jersey Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women.
A three-year starter and two-time Honorable Mention All-New Jersey Athletic Conference defender, Potter carries a 3.67 grade point average in biology.
