2010 NABC D-III all-District Teams and Coaches
The duo were major cogs in the Scarlet Raiders’ march to the program’s first-ever appearance in the NCAA D-III Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament. Rutgers-Newark notched a program record 20 wins behind Singleton, Johnson and four other seniors under ninth-year head coach
Joe Loughran.
Singleton, a 6-foot-4 power forward who became the 11th Scarlet Raider to score 1000 points in his career, and Johnson, a 5-foot-11 swing guard who led Rutgers-Newark in scoring with a 14.9 average, were also named to the All-New Jersey Athletic Conference second unit released in February.
Singleton, who averaged 11.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, was an All-Atlantic first team pick in 2009 as well as an All-NJAC first teamer. Johnson earned post-season all-star honors for the first time in his career as a senior.
