Rachel Witt tallied 18 points with a career-high nine aces combined with nine kills as Rutgers-Newark swept past John Jay, 3-0, in The Golden Dome. Game scores were 25-15, 25-14, 25-15.

The Scarlet Raiders (2-2) piled up a team season-high 18 aces and hit .198 as a team behind the quarterbacking of rookie setter
Jen Mendoza who collected 28 assist while adding an ace, a solo block and five digs.
It was the second straight victory for Rutgers-Newark while the Bloodhounds fell to 0-3 on the season.
Junior Justyna Kopec and freshman Martina Hot paced John Jay with three kills apiece.
Rutgers-Newark travels to the Ithaca Bomber Invitational this weekend, taking on highly-regarded Oneonta State and Ithaca Friday evening.
