BRONX, NY – Senior Elijah Kim and freshman Youssef Rizk posted singles wins and teamed for a doubles victory to boost Rutgers-Newark to a 5-3 win over Lehman College on the APEX Tennis Courts.

The duo downed Ran Zhang and Alex Linde, 8-4, on the No. 2 doubles court as the Scarlet Raiders (4-6) won their third straight match and for the fourth time in their last five outings.  Rizk stopped Linde, 6-3, 6-3, on the No. 4 singles court which Kim dispatched Al Joseph Dubouzet, 6-1, 6-3, on the fourth flight.

Top-flight senior Raymond Postadan defeated Cesar Andrade, 6-2, 6-3, for the other Raider singles victory while the No. 3 singles play between Rajan Mandania and Zhang was halted because of darkness.

Mandania and freshman Benjamin Lioue took an 8-1 decision over Marcos Coto-Batres and Andres Restrepo on the No. 3 court.

Rutgers-Newark hosts York NY on The Golden Dome Courts on Saturday at noon in the final home match of the season.
