Derence Tejero stopped Iheanyi Agbor, 6-2, 7-6 (7-1), on the No. 2 singles court while freshman
Youssef Rizk, Kim And Lioue rolled to wins on the bottom three singles flights.
In doubles, Kim teamed with senior
William Cheung for an 8-1 win over Gary Reynoso and Trevon Phillips on the No. 2 court while Lioue and
Rajan Mandania battled past Anthony Omoragbon and Michael Benavidez, 8-6, on the third flight.
Rutgers-Newark, which lost its first five matches of the season, can post a .500 record with a win at Rutgers-Camden on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
