Ramirez lost a 7-5, 2-6, 10-8 battle to against Beaver freshman Sallem Ahmed on the No. 5 court while Leong was out-lasted 5-7, 6-4, 10-8 on the sixth flight by freshman Qingtian Chen.

Elijah Kim nearly forced a third set on the No. 3 court, but fell to freshman Pavel Shapturenka, 6-3, 7-5. Senior
William Cheung was stopped 6-3, 6-4, by freshman Do-Hyun Kim on the second flight.
Rutgers-Newark (0-5) hosts a pair of matches this week on The Golden Dome Courts. The Raiders face Bloomfield College at 3:30 p.m. on Monday and FDU-Florham on Thursday at 5.
