Neves Honored On National Girls And Women In Sports Day

Angela Neves receives NGWSD Woman of the Year Award from Rutgers-Newark Associate Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator Mary Stadelmann.
SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – Senior soccer captain Angela Neves was honored as Rutgers-Newark's Woman of the Year during National Girls and Women in Sports Day hosted by Seton Hall University on Sunday.

Neves was recognized along with other honorees from New Jersey's senior colleges, junior colleges and high schools at a luncheon held in the Richie Regan Recreation and Athletics Center before being introduced at halftime of the Seton Hall versus Providence women's basketball game in Walsh Gym.

A four-year letterwinner, three-year starter and two-year captain for the Scarlet Raiders as a midfielder and defender, Neves is also active in the R-N Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

She has compiled a 3.54 grade point average as a management and finance major, making the Dean's List five times and receiving the Athletic Academic Achievement Award six times.
